Fluid ounce (fl oz) to cubic centimetre (cc) converter

Type an amount in fluid ounces to get it in cubic centimetres, or in cubic centimetres to get it in ounces. The result is given to one decimal place.

For: Volumes in fluid ounces or in cubic centimetres, whole or with decimals. Free, no sign-up. Everything is worked out in your browser and nothing is stored.

With a decimal comma or full stop. For example: 2.5

With a decimal comma or full stop. For example: 120

It takes decimals with a comma or a full stop (2,5 or 2.5). If the number has a comma, full stops separate thousands: you can paste a result like 1.035,1 back in to convert it.

How ounces are converted to cc

The converter uses the US fluid ounce (fl oz), the one usually printed on baby bottles and packaging with imperial measures:

cc = ounces × 29.57353 · ounces = cc × 0.03381402

The result is rounded to one decimal place and written the Chilean way, with a comma for decimals and a full stop for thousands, for example 1.035,1 cc. One cc equals one ml. You can type decimals with a comma or a full stop (2,5 or 2.5) and paste a result back in to convert it: in 1.035,1 the comma is the decimal and the full stop separates the thousands.

Frequently asked questions

How many cc are in a fluid ounce?

One fluid ounce (fl oz) equals 29.57353 cc. Rounded to one decimal place: 1 oz = 29.6 cc, 4 oz = 118.3 cc and 8 oz = 236.6 cc.

How do you convert cc to ounces?

Multiply the cc by 0.03381402. For example, 120 cc × 0.03381402 = 4.06 ounces, which the calculator shows as 4.1 fl oz.

Is a cc the same as a ml?

Yes. A cubic centimetre (cc) and a millilitre (ml) are the same volume, so the result in cc works for ml too.

Can I convert half ounces or decimal values?

Yes. Type the decimals with a full stop or a comma: 2.5 or 2,5 ounces are 73,9 cc. If the number has a comma, full stops are read as thousands separators, so a result like 1.035,1 can be converted back. Without a comma, a full stop followed by three digits also separates thousands: 1.000 is one thousand.

Which ounce does the converter use?

The US fluid ounce (fl oz), which is the one that matches the 29.57353 cc factor. The British imperial fluid ounce is slightly smaller, 28.41 ml, and is not the one this calculator uses.

Is the data I enter stored?

No. The conversion happens in your browser; no data is sent or stored.
